I love science and get pretty excited when the students dig into cool science problems! I'm really looking forward to working with my 6th grade students in science this year! It will be a great year!

This year we will be studying the scientific method, measurement, engineering, properties of matter, elements and compounds, forces and motion, and energy and waves. We'll be learning in a variety of ways like reading, discussing, observing, and doing lab work. We will be visiting Quarry Hill to learn about aspects of energy. It will definitely be an active year in science!

On this website, I will list my weekly assignments. Just click on the assignment button below! Stay tuned as I add new items and update the site.

The 2014-15 Rochester Regional Science Fair will be held on February 12-13. This is optional for our sixth grades, but a great opportunity for them to earn extra credit in science, learn something new, and have a ton of fun! For more information contact me or go to www.rochester.k12.mn.us and click on Academics and then to Rochester Regional Science Fair.

Please contact me here at John Adams if you have any questions at or 328-5700. Let's have a great year!
