2018-2019 Testing Schedule

Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA)
Reading and math tests taken by 6th and 7th graders. Reading, math and science tests taken by 8th graders.

 

Reading and Math
The reading MCA will be taken March 12, 13 and 14.
The math MCA will be taken April 9, 10 and 11.
Science
The science MCA will be completed during class periods the first week of May

Make ups 
Make up testing is completed throughout the months of March and April.


MTAS
Tests are completed throughout the testing window from March through April.

 

ACCESS/WIDA
Taken by all students classified as English Language Learners. Students will take the ACCESS during the weeks of January 28th, February 4th and February 11th.  Make ups for students who do not complete the test or miss a test are completed the week after whole class testing


NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Test

Fall NWEA - All students in grades 6-8 take the MAP test. The fall test give us a benchmark score that we use to measure growth during a period of time. The fall tests will be given from September 10 to September 21, 2018.

Winter NWEA – We will not be administering the test schoolwide. However, some teachers are administering the tests to their class. Students that have entered John Adams since the end of the fall testing period or didn't receive a score in the fall will be taking both NWEA tests in order to give us a baseline. 

Spring NWEA – All students in grades 6-8 take the MAP test. The score on these reading and math tests are measured against the fall score to show the amount of growth made by a student. The spring MAP tests will be taken from May 6 to May 17, 2019.
