FOOD FOR FRIENDS PROGRAM

Welcome to the Food for Friends program!

What is it?

John Adams Middle School is partnering with Channel One food bank and Mount Olive Church to offer this program to your child throughout the school year.

Who is eligible?

Students and families who qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for this program. This is a free program; there is no cost to you or to the school. Generous donations from our community have provided the funds to support this program.

How do I sign up?

Parents/guardians complete a permission form and once this form is signed and returned to the school social worker, that student will be added to the list. These forms can be obtained from the school social worker, as well, and sent home with your student, or mailed to the home, as requested.

When does this take place?

Every Thursday food is delivered to John Adams Middle School at which time, your child will bring home a backpack of kid-friendly foods. Should students not be available to pick up his/her backpack on Thursday, he/she can pick it up on Friday, the following school day.

What do I need to do?

All you have to do is send the empty backpack or bag back to the school on the next school day. It will be refilled and sent home again every week.

Who do I contact?

We look forward to having your child participate in this new program. If you have any questions, please contact:
