What do I do at John Adams?

Provide supportive counseling services to students/families

Facilitate social skills groups.

Works closely with the special education department in providing support services to students requiring academic, behavioral, and emotional accommodations. 

Facilitates the provision of the Food for Friends "backpack" program. 

Facilitates the provision of the twice yearly dental health services program in which students who qualify can receive dental cleanings and additional services within the school itself. 

Provides information and connects students/families to community resources and provisions, as needed. 

Collaborates with community service providers in educating and offering services to students and families in need that include, but are not limited to: mental health resources, community programming, medical and financial assistance, housing and food assistance, and academic programming.
